Principal'S Message
September 28, 2011
Welcome To The 2011 – 2012 School Year,
As a middle school on the rise, we are committed to working in partnership with our parents to provide broad, comprehensive opportunities and a superior quality academic curriculum, individualized to allow students to realize their highest potential and gain a lifelong love for learning. Our mission is to provide an environment in which all students can learn the skills necessary to become caring, creative and productive individuals of our society. We know that you would like to see your child in a nurturing environment which promotes learning as a lifelong process which enables them to be an educated, confident, self-directed, positive member of an ever-changing global society.
Through their education at Wright, our students continue to gain the skills, strategies, and desire necessary for continued learning. They develop a strong sense of responsibility for themselves and toward each other, their community, and the earth's resources. To this end, our friendly faculty and staff have created a rich multicultural environment for learning; have designed an integrated curriculum with strong technology, math, science, language arts, social studies and aerospace components. They will enable your children to become self-directed learners; and they share their enthusiasm for learning, in an atmosphere of mutual respect and appreciation.
To ensure that all children will reach their potential we maintain high expectations and promote academic excellence for all students. We have created and support a school environment in which all children and adults feel welcomed, respected, trusted, and an important part of the school. Importantly, you need to return the following items:
1. The Emergency Information Form. This is critical as we need to be able to contact you in an emergency.
2. The front page only of the “Parent/Student Acknowledgement Form.” This is our verification that you have received the Parent Student Handbook.
3. The “Going Green!” form, so that we can send you important information by email.
4. The “Parent Packet” forms in the Parent Student Acknowledgment Handbook.
Parents, we look forward to your active participation at Wright. Remember, at Wright Middle Magnet School, “Your loved ones attending school here are our 1st priority!”
Dr. Kenneth Pride, Principal
